Iosif Beniaminov

I have been a dedicated personal trainer since 2014, beginning my career at NYSC (New York Sports Club) ​as an ACE Certified and Equinox Academy graduate. This initial experience laid the foundation for my career and contributed to my success. While I am not a salesperson by nature, I am passionate about being a trainer and helping my clients achieve their fitness goals. Beginning in 2018, I decided to operate independently in order to better provide my services based on their merits. 

 

My specialty lies in catering to the needs of the everyday person who is looking to achieve a better physique, enhance their overall health, and cultivate healthy habits. I firmly believe that it is possible for anyone to achieve their fitness goals without the need for excessive gym time or intense workouts. I aim to impart this knowledge to all of my clients, while steering clear of social media fads and sticking to science-proven methods in nutrition, behavior, and exercise that yield sustainable results.

Excellent trainer. The workouts he helps me through are really tough but well thought out. He listens to my concerns and works around them. The workouts I'm doing with Iosif (body weight, floor) are more challenging than ones that I was doing 20 years ago, when I was just throwing heavier weights around the gym, and the results are much more satisfying. Iosif is the best. I had looked for a trainer with skepticism, wondering whether or not I needed one or if I should just focus on doing the drills by myself. I started working with Iosif in July. He is so patient but stern; I am not very consistent, but he hangs in there with me and keeps coming back (I’m not the easiest client). Iosif is rough and stern, but not a drill sergeant. He is funny, understanding, and great! The hour goes by really fast. He works well with my schedule and since I have left New York I am currently training with him virtually. The virtual sessions are wonderful and offered continuity by allowing me to keep the same trainer. He still has the same personality and being virtual has not affected our sessions at all. He offered nutritional advice and gives homework; I really love that he seems so committed to my health and lifestyle changes.
